Terms of service
Last updated: October 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of Leverboard, the free first analysis and the plans. You buy plans from Polar Software Inc. under Polar's terms (see “Plans and payment”). These terms are written to be read. If something is unclear, ask us.

What Leverboard does
You upload a survey export with a score and a comment per response. We sort the comments into themes and send you a report by email: for each theme, how much higher or lower the score is when a comment raises it, how many comments that rests on, a likely range and example comments. We usually send it within one working day. How your data is handled is described in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement.
For businesses
Leverboard is offered to businesses, not to consumers. By uploading an export or buying a plan you confirm that you act for a business and that you may share the export with us for this purpose.
Free first analysis
Your first analysis is free, for one export of up to about 1,000 comments. It does not oblige you to buy anything. We may decline an export that is not a survey export, is far larger, or that we cannot read, and tell you why.
Plans and payment
- Polar Software Inc. is the merchant of record and the seller of plans. Your purchase contract is with Polar under Polar's buyer terms. Polar handles payment, invoices, tax and refunds, and processes checkout and billing data under its own privacy policy. These terms govern the use of Leverboard.
- Pro is 99 USD a month or 990 USD a year, for one survey program, with a report each month. Team is 199 USD a month, for up to 5 surveys or locations, segments and up to 5 users. Enterprise is offered on request under a separate written contract. Prices are shown before checkout; sales tax or VAT is added where it applies.
- A plan renews until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the Polar customer portal; the plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for and then does not renew.
- Features marked as coming on the pricing page are not part of a plan until they are released.
- Payments are not refundable, except where Polar's buyer terms or the law give you a right to a refund.
Results are statistics
A theme's effect is an association in your data, not proof that the theme causes the score. The model that sorts comments into themes makes mistakes, and a theme with few comments has a wide range, which the report shows. Use the report to decide where to look, together with the comments behind each number.
Your data
You keep all rights to your exports and reports. We process exports only to make your reports, under the data processing agreement, and never use them to train AI models. You may use and share your reports as you like.
Using the service fairly
Do not upload files you may not share, files with malware, or content meant to attack or overload the service. We may refuse or delete such uploads.
Availability
We try to keep the service running but cannot promise it is always available. We may change or end features. If we end the service, we tell customers in advance.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We announce a change that disadvantages you in advance by email. For a plan, such a change applies no earlier than the next billing period after the notice, and you can cancel before then. Other changes apply from the date at the top of this page.
Warranty and liability
We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, a guarantee we gave, and where mandatory law (for example product liability law or the GDPR) applies.
For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential obligation, meaning one whose fulfilment makes proper use of the service possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. This liability is limited in total to the amount you paid for Leverboard plans in the 12 months before the damage.
For the free first analysis, and in derogation from the previous paragraph, we are not liable for slight negligence, in line with the statutory rules for gifts (section 521 BGB). Otherwise liability is excluded. These limits also apply to the personal liability of the people and companies we use to provide the service.
Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, Germany.
